What we are looking for:
We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to serve as principal of our middle school. This is
an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, studentcentered administrator who is dedicated to
academic excellence, building strong relationships, and fostering a school culture where every
student and staff member can thrive. Our ideal candidate is committed to guiding young adolescents
through a critical stage of learning and development while supporting teachers and families as
partners in student success.
An experienced school leader, preferably as a middle school principal, who exercises good
judgment in addressing the complex issues that arise at the middle school level and keeps
students at the center of all decisions.
Collaborative leadership style with good interpersonal and team-building skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and motivational skills.
Intellectual, organizational, and managerial skills with the ability to lead others in long-term
planning.
Ongoing analysis of multiple data sources to ensure equitable outcomes for all students.
Expertise in evidence-based curriculum design, assessment, and instructional practices.
Leadership for Professional Learning Communities and promotes professional development
opportunities.
Serve as a visible, engaged leader within the school community.
Demonstrated leadership in the area of Equity and Culturally Responsive Education.
Knowledge and application of instructional technology.
Willingness to innovate and grow new ideas and develop growth mindsets.
Enthusiasm for learning and a genuine love of children.
A professional known for integrity, reliability, and a great sense of humor that strengthens team
culture.

Select candidates will participate in a multi-tiered interview process with stakeholders in mid to late
July. Application deadline closes July 17th, 2026 or until position is filled
Starting Salary: $100,000-105,000 /yr (commensurate with experience)
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
New York State School Building Leader (SBL)
New York Professional Teaching Certification required. Successful administrative and teaching
experience preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and school improvement
practices.
